Hi Bill, Thank You (& smile).I was thinking about this same thing, after posting a day or so ago, about traction motor analysis process.
I was thinking. hmm, set up DSO & current amps, drive around no load, measuring traction amps at various speeds, then repeat, dragging 100, then 500, then 1000 lb (or whatever, while keeping armature amps under the graph max the group folks sent links to).
Then my brain flashed 'dynamometer', & hmmm, 'how do I build one of those ?', as I faded off to sleep.
