Re: (ET) Plows suck for snow (dead blower)

In the meantime, I went into the shed and dug out my Dremel scroll saw that I bought in the mid 1970's. It's a bit more than a toy, but the important part is that it has a power take off on the side of the motor that would typically run a small disc sander attachment that acted as a nice flywheel.

It also could take a special dremel wand that allowed you to use dremel attachments.

So I dragged this up to the frozen driveway, put a cutting wheel on a shaft into the dremel attachment, plugged it in, and started in on the bolt. Finally got enough slits cut into it that it would turn and it's off!

Next step is to find a new bolt (another trip to the shed) and also bring out the Ryobi drill with wire brius attachment to try and clean up the stud and bolt that's still on the motor. Then put the new lug on, put the new bolt on, tighten it up, and see if the motor works.

After putting away the dremel scroll saw. That turned out to be a good thing to hold on to.

One step at a time.
