RE: (ET) Oil

Title: RE: (ET) Oil

Ralph;

The repair manual recommends any S.A.E. E.P. 90 Lubricant.
I'm sure a synthetic would fine.

The important thing is that you jack up the rear end or park the tractor on a hill so you can get a full 2 pints through the filler hole in the back of the differential.

On level ground this is not possible.

Subject: (ET) Oil

I am doing a frame up restoration of a E20 I just got from my cousin.  It has been in a barn for the last 20 years.  I was wondering what type oil is used in the transaxle.  I was thinking a light weight synthetic oil would be less drain on the motor and batteries.  Anybody tried this?  Or what is normally used?
