(ET) ET drive stopped

Hi,
My ET just stopped moving.  It is New Idea EGT-150.  I was mowing, went to
reverse and nothing.  PTO and lift work fine but no drive.  The reverse
relay does not seem to work but I hear solenoids click in the first 2
speeds.  Connections seem OK everywhere but there is a small square 
resister
block about 1-1/4 square that does not look the best but it looked bad 
since
I bought it.  It does show some signs of repair.

Any ideas? Don't know much about electrics but do own a multitester and
could do some checking if I know where to start.

 FYI the drive motor was replaced about 2 months ago because the old one 
had
a dead spot.  Could the old motor have cause some damage to the rest of the
system?
