Re: (ET) Inverter option: Enter Ryobi?



Would adapting the inverter be as simple as just feeding it pack voltage?
My understanding is that most of the cordless tool actually rely on communication between the tool and the battery pack.

Check out this model - Ryobi RYI1802BT 1800W Inverter - It uses 40V batteries, which should allow it to run right off the full 36V pack.

With Ryobi batteries of course but I wonder if I could "build" an adapter for the Elec-trak as it does use two packs at a time to power itself....

Either feed it 36 volts outright or tap a pack at the 18v point. Hm......
