Thanks! I think I got this tractor without a charger in it, so this 
might be my "spare" from a million years ago. Bigger question is how in 
the name of Earth do I ship it? :-)

I'll put the transformer on the desk later this week. The capacitor does 
not register a dead short and both diodes appear to be good, which is 
definitely odd...
