Hey James!Saw your message, didn't realize mid-mount mowers had an electric lift. Those motors can be cleaned out and repaired quite easily; and running them on 24 volts or even 36 volts will not blow them up if you reduce the fuse size appropriately.
Even the rear tiller goes up and down nicely with a rebuilt motor running on 36v with a 10a fuse.
