(ET) Golf Car Batteries for Elec-Traks

 Some of you may remember that in the past I used to sell Crown golf 
car batteries for our Elec-Traks. That came to an end when the price 
escalated and my distributor stopped handling them. Recently I have had 
a number of inquiries on batteries again. Costco sells a 6V GC battery 
for a good price but it has only the threaded post, not the round 
automotive terminal like we really should be using, and is lower in 
capacity. The Crown battery and the Deka battery use the Dual Terminal 
configuration which gives the round automotive post for the cables along 
with the threaded terminal for taps, etc. They fit under our Elec-Trak 
seats with no modifications required. Many places sell these batteries 
for well over $200 each.

 In response to the recent interest, I have once again developed a 
source for the Crown batteries. I am a fan of the CR-235 model. While 
they are still not "cheap", they do sell for less than $200 each. They 
can be ordered and picked up here in Ephrata, PA, or dependent upon 
where you are located in the Northeastern US delivery to your door may 
be possible.
