Shouldn't be too tough to add a FW "turbo" button.

You can also get the effect of FW without a FW controller by just raising 
the armatujre voltage.   

Build yourself a battery box to hang on the back, and stuff it with 2 more 
batteries. Now you have 48 volts of go-faster.  

I'm pretty confident that the drive motor would be fine at 48 volts.  
Mower 
and other attachment motors, not so sure.  If you wanted to be safe, you 
could tap the battery at 36 volts for them.  That would imbalance the 
battery worse than it already is, so you'd want to charge your extra 12 
volts separately.
