Something sounds odd with your deck...
As per the label on the deck, the height adjusts from 1-1/2" to 4", in
1/2" increments. When we were in upstate NY and I mowed former cow
pasture, I kept it set high and 4" sounds about right for the results.
Are your rear rollers worn down a lot? They should be 2-1/2" in
diameter. Are you setting the heights correctly? I find the rear roller
height adjust counterintuitive, so easy to put the pins in the wrong
holes and have the deck at an angle.
