Just to put my $.02 in, I think a coop type arrangement would work out 
better if all the parts in a ET were divided into 2 piles:  stuff you can 
buy locally, and stuff you can't. I would forget about first pile and 
concentrate on providing items from the second. It makes no sense 
competing with Discount Auto Parts.  Concentrate on the niche and charge 
accordingly. I would further divide the second pile into parts that 
commonly fail and are needed to keep a ET running, and everything else, 
which would essentially be restoration items.  It would be silly to worry 
about decals if nobody can get a mower motor or brakes. I would like to 
see a coop concentrate on providing the specialty parts needed to keep 
working tractors working.  Once that is going smoothly then, as time and 
inclination allows, you can start branching out.
