That's probably pretty close to cost.

I haven't been real happy with Exides in my road EVs, though some folks I 
know like them in ETs.  I've been told that Exide build the golf car 
batteries on the same line as the SLI (non-deep-cycle) batteries, and use 
some components from the SLI batteries in the golf car batteries.  I 
don't know if that's true, though.

I use US Battery (AKA Interstate Workaholic).  Some people think Trojans 
last longer, but they (the batteries, not the people <g>) usually cost 
more, at least in my area. 

I can generally get 220 ah 6v US Battery for around $45 each.  Price 
depends on the price of lead that week.
